There's a good chance that my husband's employer may transfer him to the Lordstown area. I'm curious about the chances that I might be able to land a job with one of the school districts in the area. I'm currently employed by the local school in my area as a supportive staff substitute and I'm looking to go full time. I would like to find a job with the same school as my children attend. Since I don't know if and when my husband will be relocated and what school my children will attend, I can't put in my application right now. Do the schools in the Lordstown area hire for non-teaching uncertified positions? And if so, is it a hard position to find job openings? Thank you for any info on this type of job openings.

I'm assuming your husband will be transferring to GM. We've had a lot of questions about this over the past several months. Lordstown itself is are really small village that depends totally on GM for it's budget and to support the school system. The schools are good, but very small, they don't even have a football team.

I'm not sure about non-certified classroom help. I know it's really hard to get a teaching job in Ohio due to all the teachers Ohio and the surrounding states produce. If anyone wants to teach in Ohio they better be a math, science or special ed teacher, otherwise it's pretty tough to find a job.

Hopefully, someone else on this board would be better able to answer your specific question.
