How sad is it to not know when someone is using facts to make a point? Sad, for sure.

At any rate, I'm glad you don't care about it because it's not for sale.

P.S. This thread isn't about you and what you want. It's about Oklahoma City. Now you know.

I gave plenty of facts about OKC after that statement you quoted, but you isolated it for some reason. That's fine if it's not for sale. In continuation of my last post, on the national scale your land is practically worthless, as people aren't scrambling to buy up land/housing. FYI, according to the census your house is valued below the national average of new homes.

P.S. I was putting in my opinion, and this thread also isn't about how many acres you own, which you felt was necessary to mention. So in other words, you're accusing me of doing something you did before me.

It could be worse. We could be living in New York where they have Trader Joe's and Ikea.

I would rather live in a strong Christian state with wholesome family values.

what's wrong with trader joes? they have fast service, good products, good prices and friendly employees. They aren't a publicly traded company and I don't know why you would say they are leftist or yuppy. Have you ever been to a trader joes?

They promote Obamacare and other far left initiatives.

That's just not what we are about.

Given our Evangelicalism (Southern Baptists comprise something like 1/3 of the state's population), I think yes, that Oklahoma is perceived to be very Pro-Family. However, as has been alluded to, the high divorce rate cannot be negated; and, this does hurt our reputation of being a strong Pro-Family values state. It is what it is.

Bottom Line: There are many young couples that should not be marrying as they could ultimately care less about the commitment and hard work it requires. So many young people out there today (many in Oklahoma unfortunately) who have learned about the "starter marriage" because that is what their mom and dad did to them. Shameful and weak, quite honestly.

I'm actually more thankful for being known as a strong Pro-Life state. Personally, that is a much more important issue to me.

you sound exactly like the mayor of Boston who wouldn't let in Chik-Fil-A because he disagreed with their position on gay marraige. So just because you disagree with whatever position some management person has means it can't be a great store? How about just not going there but letting other people go instead or is that too much for you to handle?
