It is the culture. People do not believe in dieting. Even the people who work out, do not embrace good nutrition so they have a lot of muscle but also a lot of overlying fat and adipose tissue. Southern culture embraces fried foods and in Oklahoma in general, they love their BBQ, Chicken Fried Steak, Corn Bread, Fried Okra, Steaks, Burgers, Carbs (potatoes, white bread). It's not a culture that embraces organic and whole foods rich in fruits and vegetables. Vegetarians and vegans are pretty much laughed at and non-existant. South beach diets are not well received in Oklahoma because they don't include red meat. Nearly everyone eats red meat in Oklahoma. If you travel to the coasts, you just don't see many people eat bologna, pulled pork (sloppy joes), ribs, hot dogs, and ground beef. Those are staple foods in Oklahoma

And even exercise is not done properly in OKC. Everyone wants to get "Big" and "Lift" They want to get huge arms regardless of definition. They don't believe in cardio or lean defined bodies. The macho cowboy culture embraces big men who look like offensive lineman because OKC women love that big teddy bear look. Lean defined men are viewed as being effeminate. Women can be curvy as long as they have big hair, a large bust and a lot of makeup.

Also, everyone has to be blonde there. I don't understand the fascination with that. Even darkly complected women will dye their hair blonde and it is so obvious. And their blonde hair is usually the brightest yellow blonde which looks fake.

I do recall when I was there last that there are fewer "ethnic" looking white women and men in Oklahoma compared to other places, so if you like that sort of look you would kind of be out of luck but I've seen many pretty women and good looking men there just like everywhere else.

From beginning to end your post is nothing but generalities that mostly aren't true. It really goes off the deep end in places where you lump ALL OKC women into one package to state what sort of men they all love. In essence, it's a barrel of nothing. Every one is blonde? Ethnic they probably mean a white person like Monica Belushi/Kim Kardashian vs a white person like Brad Pitt/Kate Upton (even though Anglo/German/etc. are ethnicities too).

Way to miss the point. The article by the OP stated Miami and Ft Lauderdale as "best looking" not Iowa and Nebraska. And yes, I am refering to Greeks, Italians, Middle Easterners, South Asians, ect.

Exactly!!!! So weird as someone who moved from the East. I eat almost no red meat, lift weights (to stay in shape, not bulk up), and have a pretty healthy lifestyle in general. I also DO NOT understand why every woman thinks she has to be blonde here. The only women I connect with are ones who aren't from here, and they are few and far between, because lets be honest, who wants to move here???? F'ing awful.
