What is the best suburb of Oklahoma City?

I am going to have to give the nod to Moore personally. That poor little city has been through so much.

I voted for Norman, but Moore runs a close second. I have relatives who live right close to the Norman-Moore city limits boundary. Both suburbs are nice, and I will move to the same area in a heartbeat if the situation with my elderly mother ever resolves itself.

There is so much to do in Norman, Moore, and the entire OKC area. I know some people on here bash OKC and the suburbs, but every time I am up there I have a great time. I get depressed coming back home because it's so boring here.

I love OKC. I prefer it over Denver metro to be honest. And I live in Colorado.

Edmond is by far the most hyped place in the metro. It's a white collar suburb and it seems to be where everybody wants to live.

Midwest City/Del City are suffering from aging infrastructure and suburban blight. Same with Bethany.

Moore, Yukon, and Mustang are nice if you just want generic suburbia with good schools. Nothing really special about them. You definitely have to give props to Moore for as many times as they've had to rebuild.

Norman is the only OKC suburb that actually functions as its own entity rather than just a continuation of the sprawl of OKC.

Newcastle is a bedroom community of OKC but it's more rural with a small town feel and you don't feel that connected with the rest of the metro.

Where is Forest Park? If other people are wondering the same thing, no wonder.

Oh, well, when I go through there on I-44, I always thought I was in Oklahoma City.

The map shows Forest Park due east of the racetrack on the east side of I-35

I see a sign for a Forest Park exit but never knew it was its own town or whatever.

Prefer OKC metro to Denver metro???? Wild!! I'd like to hear your reasons

Between Edmond and Norman for me. Both are different yet have some similarities. Bawac is correct that Norman functions as its own city rather than being a continuation of OKC which makes it desirable. That with an amazing university makes it an ideal suburb. Norman has a relatively urban downtown with shops and restaurants. Of course, Norman becomes sprawlish once you get out of the OU downtown area especially west Norman. Norman has good school good shopping, and fun activities.

Edmond is your upper middle class to upper class white collar amazing schools type of suburb. Edmond is also home to a good university, actually two good universities. However, they are not as prominent as OU and Edmond is definitely not college town like. That said great schools, nice neighborhoods, and a small yet active downtown make it desirable. it's a good place to have a family. Edmond is close to all the development in NW OKC.

Moore and Yukon are also good suburbs with good schools. Both are good places to raise a family.
