My boyfriend and I will be moving from WV to OKC in August because he will be stationed at Tinker AFB. We have been trying to do research for apartments but it is kind of overwhelming and scary to try to find a place to live without knowing the area or seeing the place.
We are looking for the usual...clean, affordable, low crime area, reasonable driving distance to base, etc. We would also like to have a place with a W/D in unit or hookup and it has to accept pets.
If anyone has any suggestions we would really appreciate it!

Rent in Moore there are a lot of Duplex's and Multiplex's all the time. It's about a 10-20 minute drive if you leave early enough. There is also Norman but then you have OU students all over.

Apartments
I lived at Raintree Meadows over 5 years ago - They are really nice apartments and lest than 5 minutes from Base. There are nice apartments in moore and edmond - All of them within less than 0.5 Hours. All the best.

I agree you can find some nice apts in the Moore area just off of I-35 and even some nicer ones in Midwest City.
