We live in a little podunk county in Washington and our "town" is an unincorporated village. We've discovered how much we miss having access to big city amenities, even though we like living on an acreage. We lived in Oklahoma County (MWC and SE OKC) for almost 40 years. Now we're looking to move back (if we can ever sell this house) and it's very likely that we'll be in the Edmond area. Should we be concerned about staying in Oklahoma County, rather than Logan County?

Maybe the county wouldn't make as much difference as long as we're in Edmond city limits??

I guess you are refering to Edmond school district and not city limits? Reason I say that is the actual city limits do not straddle two counties it is all in Oklahoma county. As for your question I don't live there but my wife has a friend that lives just into Logan County and is not happy with the schools. The schools score well but the way they split up the grades makes it difficult due to her children being in multiple schools yet being close in age. I am not explaining it well but look into it before you decide to go with Logan County.

We're both 64. We don't care about schools. It's the city services I meant to ask about. Trash, police, fire, etc.

I live just inside logan county, however have Edmond address but do not have any Edmond utilities. We have OGE (OKlahoma Gas & Electric), well water, septic, and Deer Creek fire dept. You pretty much have to stay within the Edmond city limits (Okla county) to have thier utilities.

Once I lived 1/2 mile from West Edmond (technically in OKC), with Edmond address, Edmond Schools, but OKC utilities and services (fire, police, etc). Could get confusing.

Neighborhoods are going up quick in whatever area/acreage is left in Northwest Edmond, not sure about east Edmond though.
