Given the population of the OKC metro area you CAN find like minded people to help you grow as a person and share your common interests- even though people in OKC may not be as "open minded" as yourself.
Again, I encourage you to grow as a person and hope that you find even greater happiness surrounded by friends and family in OKC.

If you can, I would like to suggest looking at the Tulsa area. I think you'll be more apt to find like-minded people there. I moved to the OKC area almost 10 years ago, and people with even moderately leaning views are difficult to locate.

I've visited Tulsa and found it to be a nice city, but my family lives in OKC and I am planning to attending the Norman campus of OU. But that is still a great suggestion! Thank you.

I don't have much in the way of advice to you, except that I'm liberal and have lived here in OKC most of my 33 years, and it isn't always a cake walk, but with your charm and chocolate chip cookies, you'll be just fine!
