Default Congrats!

Sounds like maybe State? Benefits!!! Yes m'am. Congrats, but no more lounging around the pool, eh? Hope DH is on soon too. Do you still like OK with this round of heat? Did you ever get that hot in NJ?

Can every state have an "official chatting thread?' If so does a moderator need to start it...just curious. I guess maybe it's a quesion for Sypnopsis

Only if you want that thread on a sticky note. That's when the "Mod Squad" has to approve it.
Other that that you can start a chat thread in any state or forum you want. Just as long as it's the only one.

MK is correct. However, each forum can only have two stickies (threads that don't move down regardless of the posts).

Okay, I don't understand what a Sticky is...sorry. So if I want a chatting thread do I ask the moderator? Utah only has one sticky.

Yes, the job is with the State.

We don't really have a problem with the heat. We put our A/C on around 8:00 at night, except for those really hot days 105+. Then we put it on during the day, but set it at 80, so it didn't go on much. The temperature rarely gets that high in NJ, but the humidity is higher. I actually feel more comforable here because as long as you can get out of the sun, it isn't so bad.

I just keep telling myself that it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter pretty much no matter where you live (with exceptions, of course). I am looking forward to the fall, but so far the summer hasn't been too bad for us. Also, we spent a year in Phoenix, and as far as I'm concerned that was as close to h*** I ever hope to get!

I don't see how anyone can NOT put on their AC during the day during this heat. You joisey folks are tough as nails. I never turn it to 80 F., unless we are going to be out of the house all day.

I love the late fall when there is a crisp chill in the air.

I hardly ever use my central A/C. just fans. I guess I'm still use to the desert heat.

I keep mine at 80 too, but it's more for the dog than me. I don't have a long fluffy black coat I can't take off!
