You claim to be a "curmudgeon".
But if you really were...

How can you not like a guy who wants to:

Abolish the IRS
Abolish the Department of Education (in favor of the states having control)
Leave the U.N.
Go to a gold standard
Bring our military back to our own borders
(With the money we'd save, we could build LOTS of aircraft carriers to project power anywhere we needed to, pretty quickly.)
Stop foreign aid (and keep the money here)
Avoid foreign entanglements
Is pro 2nd amendment
Is pro life
For fair trade policies...
Against NAFTA and CAFTA (read "SHAFTA"
Would protect our property rights

I could go on if you like....

(NOTE... Even if he won, the house and senate would prevent him from
doing any of those things unfortunately...

I understand this... I'm not a space-shot. )

From your previous posts, you sounded like a good, solid
guy who believes in most of those things.

Are you sure you're not one of those really nice guys who wants
to make the whole world butterflies and sunshine?
(Just kidding... Please don't scalp me! )

Also.... All these candidates talk about "change"....
The only one who'd make any REAL changes is Ron Paul...
The rest all seem very much the same to me... In either party.
(I'm gonna get SO flamed!)

It's all in good fun right?
Okies DO have a sense of humor and humility right?
RIGHT????

I'm still welcome in OK.... Right???

That is too bad, Colleen, that you couldn't vote. Go back and vote for Ron Paul!
I will do that He sounds ok. I didn't realize he is republican.

He's not really a Republican, but he's running as one...
He's more Libertarian or independent.

Check him out: Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America
Better get going!

Yep, just got back from the polling place. Not only did I vote for Ron Paul, but DH did too (at my suggestion!)

Default I'm very surprised!

I just heard on the news that Hillary won OK! As I was typing this, they said she got NJ as well. Hope my two votes for Ron Paul helped. They haven't said anything about the Republican candidates yet.

I never thought I would say this but I am glad to see Hillary doing good. I cant stand her but she is a known commodity and I'd much rather her win than obamma. Also she will be easier to beat than obamma in the general election. Hillary scares me, obamma terrifies me.

Good for you, Colleen.

I'm not surprised to see Hillary win OK. I hate to see McCain winning so far though.

Obama, then Hillary for me. While I love Huckabee because he is so charming and honest, or appears to be honest, but he and I don't see eye to eye, but Huckabee does come in 3rd for me.

Fox news said today that of the two democratic candidates, Hillary had the better chance of beating Mc Cain.

McCain is too warlike for me so I don't think I will be voting for him under any circumstances. Either Obama or Hillary would be all right with me. It is not over yet, so we don't know who our choice will be.
