Ain't it funny how a 100 years ago and more our ancestors had no problems when they just used the out-houses

Hey EB. We got off lucky again. A galvanized pipe just wore through, and the water was gushing out. Thankfully, it was not expen$ive.

Galvanized? How old is your home? I hope they talked you into replacing it with Copper.

PVC schedule 40 is the name for it here in the Buckeye. We only use that up here (the good contractors) for the drainage and out going water (sewage). It's best to use copper piping for all you inbound water supply. It holds up much better than plastic in the cold in our basements and crawl spaces.
