Hy Vee Buffet,
Good price, and you can get anything you like, Pizza, Asain, American. Free refills on pop.

I about spit out my drink when Happygolucky mentioned the Hy-Vee buffet. I took my wife there for the Sat night China buffet for 5 dollars and the food was barely edible. There was something seriously wrong with the rice(it smelled weird) like it was burnt and everything on the buffet line was disgusting. My wife got so sick that I thought I was going to have to take her to the hospital. I got a pretty bad stomach ache myself. I will never, ever eat there again.

Good food in Omaha...hmm there's lots of great places but that depends on how much you want to spend. I'll give a list of some noteworthy places.

Burgers -

Cheeseburger in Paradise serves up some fantastic mini burgers and you can get a side of fresh cooked sweet potato chips.

Buffalo Ted's Nebraska Grill - They serve fresh half pound bison or beef burgers with lots of ways to top them off. The mini bison burgers are among the best especially since the bread is homemade.

Culver's - A fairly common fast food chain, their burgers are nothing short of excellent.

European food:

Bohemian Cafe - I stopped in here once to get authentic Czech food and it was very tasty. Try their special soup. Great place to get bratwurst!

Wheat Fields - The locations with the full menu(that's excluded the Old Market one) serve up amazing European style bakery foods...huge range of things to choose from. I had one of the best reubens there. The breakfast food they serve is very impressive.

Mexican/Southwest food:

Stokes in the Old Market is by far the best Mexican restaurant I've ate at in Nebraska. But that might because I strongly prefer southwest/Tex Mex to authentic Mexican food. The chicken enchiladas are to die for.

Chinese Food -

Haven't ate at many Chinese restaurants in Omaha yet. The China Buffet/Mongolian Grill on West Maple is purely awesome. There's 2 locations in Omaha and one in Lincoln...they all have the same food.

I recently tried The Great Wall restaurant in Elkhorn and thought the food is very good for a cheaper priced place.

Pizza -

Haven't been to a whole lot of pizza places in Omaha, but one place that comes to mind is a small local pizza shop in southwest Omaha called Pudgy's. It's located on South 168th Street in a plaza. They've got a great recipe.

You're right, I did forget them. I was just thinking about food, which the food there is decent, although not my favorite. They are worthy of my business though!
