Its good they have several hundred condo units in the downtown area that have been redevoloped, I just wish it would translate into a more vibrant downtown area.

I think people when they visit and I know was are mind-boggled when they see the several hundred apartment units spread out over a dozen or so apartment buildings that doesnt translate into the vibrancy thats so important for prosperity.

Thumbs up Thanks for posting the pictures!

DTO_Luv and Brad,

Those were VERY nice pictures you posted of downtown Omaha. One thing I noticed immediately when I first visited the area (1987!) was how clean it was. From looking at the pictures, it's nice to see that hasn't changed since my last visit, about 10+ years ago. Looking at the pictures makes me want to visit soon!

Thanks again!

Default and

as the soon to be announced two new corporate headquarters move into downtown, also a 32 story condo tower amongst other projects in the planning stages, I wouldnt worry about a vibrant downtown in Omaha MattDen, it's doing extremely well for a city of its size...

There are many cities MUCH larger than Omaha that don't have the type of evening/weekend activity that downtown Omaha's Old Market has already. Kansas City is looking to BUILD that from the ground up with their KC Live! district.

And come on Henningsen, of course MattDen has no wishes or worries about the well being of Omaha. I would recommend simply ignoring his antagonistic posts.

There have been many articles in many publications about the state of Omaha, and how progressive and the amazing things happening in this city for the last ten years and how other cities are learning from it...
