I would like to counter the negative that we are allways being subjected to on the web and focus on the positive tip. I think all people of every color are a gift to this world and would like to be more welcoming to all African Americans who are thinking of moving to OC. Some very talented, remarkable, black americans have grown up in OC. Though the percentages are small, Three cities that I allways perceived as welcoming to our brothers and sisters have been Tustin, El Toro, Laguna Beach. Those three towns has allways been a presence of black people out and about enjoying the parks and beaches! Happy 4th of July everyone.

Thanks for the data, Charles. Can you suggest where to get the same thing for other counties in California, specifically Los Angeles county?

And isn't it too bad that we can't all simply be Americans -- assimilated, un-hyphenated and regardless of skin hue, eye shape or other differences? Then questions and statements like the OPs wouldn't even be a consideration.

Or people saying "my people" and not meaning Americans in general? Divide and conquer.

Isn’t this thread racist by definition? Imagine this thread heading (and the response):

“BEST cities in OC for white people, white people are beautiful!”

I like city-data, but it should not be a forum for racism.
