Hi guys,

Just a quick question- has anybody had any experience with ZipCar in Orange County- specifically the Los Alamitos/Seal Beach/ Rossmoor area? (If it even exists in Orange County- the website says Los Angeles but I'm not sure if it's spread into Orange?)

I was looking into using it as an option for the weekends as I'll be living 10 minutes walk from where I'll be working .

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

James

I don't think Zipcar has made it in Orange County beyond the UC Irvine campus. Now that it's spreading to general areas in Los Angles and not just college campuses, we'll see the service begin to spread all over the southland.

I'd like to see a similar service for Segways and other electric scooters. Give them a GPS unit and program them to work only in certain areas (like those grocery carts that disable themselves when you attempt to leave the parking lot).

I doubt it would work in the suburbs. But if they do try it, and it's a success, then that's good news. OC needs more transportation options.
