True, sometimes we have hit horrible traffic up to Big Bear. We've gotten wise though and usually plan our departure around the Inland Empire's rush hour. The 241 toll road doesn't ever have traffic, but if we dump onto the 91 east in the evening it is certain disaster. Hence we only make the drive to Big Bear in the morning when we are going on a reverse drive against Riverside commuters or late at night. We often leave Thursday or Friday night at 8PM from our house and make it through the 91 between OC and Riverside County with no problems and get up to the mountain around 10PM.

But yes, traffic can be a big problem, especially on a holiday weekend. We leave for Mammoth at 6AM usually so we get through the Inland Empire's traffic and are then smooth sailing through the rural areas after Victorville.

Well you are smart planner. It seemed like whenever we went to Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead (no matter what the time or day) we always hit that horrible traffic. Thanks for not getting defensive and giving people some options

There are only three other homes around 4,000 (+/- 300) sq. feet in Mission Viejo for sale.
One in Canyon Crest, custom home, 3,900 sq. feet listed at $1,200,000.
Two in San Marino, waterfront on Lake MV and custom homes, listed at $2,470,000 (4,200 sq. feet) and $2,579,000 (4,000 sq. feet)

Wow! Can't believe prices in Mission Viejo are THAT high! I would never want to live in Mission Viejo even for $100,000 for a 4,000 sq feet house...
OC is getting crazy. Truly.

$25/sqft? That would be cheap for the cheapest houses in Mississippi or North Dakota.

The only nice areas are Newport, Laguna, Irvine and Dana Point but 10 mins away you have Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Anaheim, and all the other scum lots. Here are other pics of OC not just the reg old beach shots.

Look likes pictures of Miami , only I see Mexican flags instead of Cuban flags ... I lived in Valencia for three years before moving back to South Florida ... we liked Valencia , but friends that are still there say that many aspects of the area are starting to go downhill . Santa Ana and Anaheim were always nasty ... kind of like Hialeah and Carol City in Miami . Still as much as I like Florida , I do miss the natural beauty of Southern California

Upload them as an attachment. Your post will show a thumbnail.

So, at this point, all you have is a thumbnail. (Nobody wants to click through a bunch of thumbnails.)

To get the photo in the body of the post do this:

Click on the thumbnail and the full photo will be shown. Right click on the full photo to get its properties and URL (which will be a city data URL). Then, edit your post to insert image (the yellow box thing). Paste in the URL when you are prompted. Save your post. Now your post will have both the thumbnail and the photo in the body.

The drawback to uploading your photo is the limited space City Data gives you. Better practice is to get a Photobucket account and upload it to it. Then follow the insert image steps above.
