Well, Governor Scott seems to think that folks like this woman are worthless leeches and ditto for the people that she works with. I hope she has been paying attention because I would be scared to death if my job depended on state funds and I had 3 kids.

The FL budget for spring 2012 is looking bleak already. Sales tax revenues are coming in lower than projected and we're facing at least a $2.4 Billion deficit. Lawmakers will be at it once again, cutting funds for education, social services, and Medicaid in the spring. They won't close tax loopholes or do their jobs and find a balanced solution. Instead, it's slash and burn.

Scary times to be a public sector employee.

Wink I moved from NY to Orlando :0))

I moved from NY to Orlando area in January 2013 and so glad I did!! I have lived in NY all of my life and exhausted every avenue for jobs and nothing.....I couldn't even get an interview there (teaching field)!! In Florida, I have been on 8 interviews in the last 3 weeks!......everything is better anywhere, but not in NY......everyone i know has either moved out of NY or is moving to AZ, NC, VA, GA, SC and FL.....I can't stand the cold.....hope this helps!!

I love the heat and outdoors, I hate these extreme colds day Ny is experiencing. Can some Orlando natives tell some truth or opinions on life in Orlando. I would love to hear from you especially you've ever lived in New York. Thanks
