My family and I just moved to Florida and are looking at a condo on howell branch road, the carrington park condos. Does anyone know of them? are they safe for a family. Is the area good? please help!

Those are older appartments - I think they recently went condo. I haven't heard very good things about them. Personally, I'd pass.

Lots of vehicle break ins and disturbance complaints. No, it is definitely not safe for a family.

If you really like the place, then just rent there for 6months or 1 year. The area is not that bad. I think new condos are way over priced right now. Buying one of these older appartment-condo conversions is a complete joke. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than (on average) about $50,000 for a 2/2 condo conversion, given the maintenance assessments that I'm likely to get smacked with. There are a number of appartment conversions that you couldn't give to me for free.

Everytime that I drive by one of these old appartment conversions, with some pimple-faced kid wearing an Ipod, holding up a sign in 93 degree weather that just sayd "CONDOS", I just see "SUCKERS".
