Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any information about the Cumberland Park Apts in Lake Buena Vista? I'm terrified of roaches and safety is an important factor.
Thanks Janet

You know, I go on cruises and when I check cruisecritic I find that the cruise I was on had bad service, the food was terrible, the ship was dirty, and the pool crowded.

But my experience was of a clean ship, a happy crew, a lot of people having a great time, and my waistband got tight so how bad could the food really have been?

Some people you just can't please no matter what. So grains of salt all around.

So apartmentratings.com has seriously scared the HELL out of me! I'm sure a lot of the people on there are just some disgruntled tenants but it does make me think twice about some of those places. I wanted to know if there are any specific apartment complexes in Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Lake Mary, or Clermont that you would recommend I see. Not too pricey, around $1000 or less for a 2 bdrm. Heading out there in August but can only go for a few days so I'd really love to make the most of my time there and not be running around blind.

Also, do you think I would be able to find a rental house in any of these areas for around the same price? I've heard that renting a house out there may actually be cheaper and more worth renting than an apartment. Is there any truth to this?

Thanks!
There are houses in the $1000 range, but with a house you get some other expenses-like lawn care or buy a mower and take care of it yourself. Might need to buy a washer and dryer or lug clothes to a laundry mat miles and miles away. You will have to pay for your own cable and water in a house. Might even have to pay for garbage pick up .

Considering most apartment complexes in Orlando charge around $900 and well above that just for a one bedroom, there better not be any roaches, crazies, loud music, etc
