We've been looking at homes and found a great one in Winter Garden, south of the turnpike and close to West Orange HS. Just wondering about thoughts on the area and being so close to highways. Looks nice just wondering if development will continue.

So much traffic there! It's insane. WG used to be peaceful and quiet.

Winter Garden is a great area, especially for families. Always something going on downtown and great community spirit. WOHS is a good high school and our graduate had a great experience there (he went on to UF and many of his classmates attended top universities around the country).

I would check out the road noise situation, as it can be noisy if too close to the highway. Also, I suggest checking with the planning department to see about any future developments/infrastructure planned for that area (we got burned in our first house on the East side of town when they took out the forest behind our house to build a highway).

Good luck,
