One thing for sure, Charlotte and Orlando don't take all the credit for being HOT last weekend, or during most of the summer as far as that goes......look at how HOT Phoenix and Vegas can/does get. And, Denver, CO metro area was in the high 90's last weekend and they are at a high elevation next to the Rocky Mountains.

this is true, however, colorado and charlotte do not remain this hot for as long as we do. we will remain this hot in fla til late september. some places may got as hot, but not for the length of time that we do, plus we get all the humidity which makes it feel hotter. charlotte has beautiful weather, colorado is too cold for me

Funny......when we were living in CO and mentioning to people that we were "thinking" about moving to NC/Charlotte area, this is what we heard, "you've got to be kidding, it gets way to hot and humid there!!" Charlotte "can" be beautiful (hot/humid) during the summer, but it's the winter we want to get away from! It is true that NC winters are "milder" than CO winters, but my hip (replacement) and shoulder (rotor cup surgery) can't handle even the NC "milder" winter. We found this out this last winter!

If your health is in such horrible shape, I must remind you that it does still get cold in the winter in Orlando (Sometimes into the 30's). You may need to move further south (South Florida or Southwest Florida).

But he is moving from Charlotte, which is the promised land! If he has to move further south than Jacksonville, he will face, uh, oh wait, old joke.

But yeah, how about Vero Beach?

I think I read that he actually lives in Huntersville, NC which is a very nice area outside of Charlotte. I dont think he lives "in" Charlotte. I dont know about living "in" the city of Charlotte, but there are many nice areas around Charlotte. Think of it locally like living in Lake Mary, which isnt Orlando, but close enough.

But many people probably dont know of Huntersville. I never heard of it til' recently.

I know where Huntersville is. I had my car burglarized there one time. In a "nice" area too. Hmm...
