What was the last "bet" you made with a friend or family member ?

None with them. I usually "bet" strangers in forums as in I betcha 5 bucks so and so won't do such and such. Not a real money exchanging hands kind of thing.

Bonus Question:

What was your favorite Comic Book(s) while growing up ?

It was Superman. We're talking early 1960s. Now I wouldn't give that flying anti-American slob in ugly tights, the time of day.

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk a little more about traveling

When planning a trip do you:
Book everything yourself ?
Use a travel Agent ?
Book online ?
Book on the phone ?

Everything myself online.

Have you ever used Traveler Checks ?

nope. Wait, I think my ex-husband did back in the early 1970s.

Just for Fun:

When you just don't feel like cooking, what is your
"go to" meal solution ?

Today's Question(s):

What was the last "bet" you made with a friend or family member ?
Hmmmmm...It has been so long ago I can not recall.

Bonus Question:

What was your favorite Comic Book(s) while growing up ?
Archie comic books
Andy Capp
Wizard of Id

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk a little more about traveling

When planning a trip do you:
Book everything yourself ?
For the most part.

Use a travel Agent ?
I used to use them. However, I usually do not go for package deals so I find it just as easy to do it myself. Besides, hotels and car rental companies often give free upgrades when you book things directly with them. Once when checking into a hotel at Vegas I was given a free room upgrade without even asking. The people next to me saw this and asked for the same upgrade. The desk clerk told them they would have to contact the third party company they used to book the room and ask them.

Book online ?
Usually.

Book on the phone ?
Whenever booking rooms at Vegas I always do it by phone to see if I can smooze my way into a nicer room. Usually works.

Have you ever used Traveler Checks ?
Many times.

Just for Fun:

When you just don't feel like cooking, what is your
"go to" meal solution ?
Usually it is take out from a burger joint or the salad bar at Safeway's. If I don't feel like going somewhere then it is cheese sandwich time.

[b]Today's Question(s):

What was the last "bet" you made with a friend or family member ?

I bet that our workers would show up bright and early today, since we got a 10% discount after they flaked two days ago. I won. Yay! They're here, and so far work seems to be going well.

Bonus Question:

What was your favorite Comic Book(s) while growing up ?

Mad Magazine and Archie comics. Loved Spy vs. Spy and the little cartoons the same artist drew in the margins.

Shhhhh don't tell anyone but my guilty secret with Mad Magazine was that I secretly loved the "Lighter Side" comics, (even though all my friends said they were so "uncool.") LOL even back then my inner suburbanite was starting to show....
