Today's Question(s):

What was the last "bet" you made with a friend or family member? Gee, I can't think of one. Probably used to bet on stuff when we were kids, like "I'll bet I can ride my bike faster," or something like that.

Bonus Question:
What was your favorite Comic Book(s) while growing up? I didn't read comic books when I was a kid. Closest thing was Mad magazine, which I still read today.

Extra Credit Question:
Let's talk a little more about traveling. Okay, let's!
When planning a trip do you:
Book everything yourself? Yes. I have no choice.
Use a travel Agent? Did this a long time ago.
Book online? Love doing this!
Book on the phone? Have done this.

Have you ever used Traveler Checks? I think I used them once, for a trip in 1980.

Just for Fun:
When you just don't feel like cooking, what is your
"go to" meal solution? Most likely, Chinese carry-out.

Today in History:
1802 - 1st comic book "The Wasp," is published I never heard of that one!
1891 - Travelers checks patented ok
1949 - Jack Webb’s "Dragnet" was first heard on NBC radio. Became a TV series in 1951 & 1967 ”The story you are about to hear (see) is true “dum-de-dum-dum" We used to watch that show together as a family. Loved it!
1961 - James R. Hoffa elected chairman of Teamsters Wasn't he recently sighted in a Walmart, shopping with Elvis?
1967 - Beatles' "All You Need is Love" is released Good song!
1972 - 1st women FBI members sworn in Chicks rock!
1981 - Sandra Day O'Connor nominated for the Supreme Court Gee, I can't believe it was that long ago!

Word of the Day:
futilitarian \fyoo-til-i-TAIR-ee-uhn\ , adjective;
1. Believing that human hopes are vain and unjustified
I know some people who are futilitarian, and I feel very sorry for them.

Today is:
National Strawberry Sundae Day I'd rather have a hot fudge sundae.
Ice Cream Cone Day Now we're talkin' - Chocolate, please!
Macaroni Day I like macaroni. Especially if it's covered with cheese!
Comic Book Day
Tell the Truth Day Not just today - ALWAYS.
Father-Daughter Take a Walk Together Day RIP, Dad.
Traveler Check Day ok

Hard to believe it's Thursday already. I sure do love 4-day work weeks (but with full paychecks)! Have a happy day, everyone.

Good Morning everyone!

Today's Question(s):

What was the last "bet" you made with a friend or family member ?

Bonus Question:

What was your favorite Comic Book(s) while growing up ?
The first comic I remember reading was Snoopy (Peanuts) but the ones I read the most were The Archies/Betty and Veronica/Richie Rich -- such a girl, I am!

Extra Credit Question:

Lets talk a little more about traveling

When planning a trip do you:
Book everything yourself ?
Use a travel Agent ?
Book online ?
Book on the phone ?

Have you ever used Traveler Checks ?
Yes, and it can be tough to get some places to take them now. He tried to use them at a hotel in Atlanta once and the younger lady working had no clue what they were and refused to take them! We went to another hotel.

Just for Fun:

When you just don't feel like cooking, what is your
"go to" meal solution ?
We do "munchie night" - it's where you find whatever you want to snack on and fend for yourself. Cereal also works!
