Today's Questions:
In honor of “National Family Volunteer Day,”
Do you currently or have you in the past performed volunteer work? Yes. I do tons of volunteer work.
If so, tell us about it. Of all the non-profits I'm involved in, my favorite is our local hospice center. I sing in a 3-part a capella women's choir that ministers (sings) exclusively for patients at the hospice center and their visitors. We sing as a group in the hallways of the center ever few weeks, and in between those dates we split into trios and sing in the patients' rooms whenever our schedules allow. It is a wonderful feeling to know that our music brings comfort to the patients and their family members. I feel that the music reaches even the comatose patients on some level.

If money was no object and you could donate your time/skills anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do? I would probably continue to volunteer at the same places I am now, locally, but with tons of money I would be able to provide food for the hungry, resources to help children in after-school programs, etc. That would be a dream come true.

Bonus Question:
I just read this headline tonight: “NY man wearing ‘I’m Drunk’ shirt accused of DWI” so I wanted to ask,
What’s the funniest or just unbelievable T-shirt you’ve seen someone wearing? "I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid."

Do you have a funny or ‘unusual’ T-Shirt? What does it say? I have a shirt that has glasses of different types of wine on the front of it with the caption, "Group Therapy."

Just for fun:
Grab the book (or magazine) nearest to you - turn to page 15 and find line 7
<no rush, so take your time >
What does it say? "Go magnetic to make use of limited space."

Word of the Day:
charitable/ˈCHaritəbəl/Adj:
(1) Of or relating to the assistance of those in need.
(2) (Of an organization or activity) Officially recognized as devoted to the assistance of those in need.

Today is:
National Soda Pop Day I don't drink a lot of pop, but when I do my favorite is Caffeine Free Diet Coke.
Play Monopoly Day Haven't played it in years. It was a regular pastime when I was growing up.
National Family Volunteer Day Yay!

Have a stupendous weekend. Okay, if you insist!

I'd like to be a chocolate taste tester in Hershey, PA.

Do you have a funny or ‘unusual’
T-Shirt? What does it say? I have a one of a kind that I made from a photo I took. Rodeo photo of a bull rider.

What does it say? I don't have a magazine worth getting out of this chair for. My wife has all of them way in the back of the house where they are staying.

Today's Questions:

I volunteer as a manager of another internet message board and, before I retired, mentored final year university students from time to time.

If money was no object and you could donate your time/skills anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
Respite care for children, in my own home.

Bonus Question:

It's too rude to say here!

Do you have a funny or ‘unusual’ T-Shirt? What does it say?
No, I refuse to wear T-shirts with writing on them!

Just for fun:

What does it say?
To avoid emergencies, elder people should prepare a card to notify personal health status and contact ways of the family members as well as the first aid medication and the guide of usage. The card should be put along with the medicine next to the skin. This is from a booklet called "Safe Journey in Beijing" which I picked up during a trip a few years ago. Written in Chinglish, my friends and I were giggling over it the other day.

Have a terrific weekend everyone.

I have done a little volunteer work. Mostly clean up work.

If money was no object and you could donate your time/skills anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
I would love to do volunteer work at a museum. Preferably one that deals with aviation or other transportation modes.

Bonus Question:

What’s the funniest or just unbelievable T-shirt you’ve seen someone wearing?
I saw one that said something along the line of "Beer...Helping Ugly People Have Sex Since 1867"

Do you have a funny or ‘unusual’ T-Shirt? What does it say?
I have the teeshirt I was given for particapating in a turkey bowling meet. We used frozen turkeys to knock down bowling pins. There is a picture of a turkey screaming as it is heading for the pins.

I guess I will have to skip this question. I grabbed the nearest book and turned to page 15. Would you believe there were only 6 lines of text? If you grab your copy of The Sneetches And Other Stories by Dr. Seuss you will see I am telling the truth.

What does it say? Times being as lean as they were, those who joined up with roller Derby in the early years of the sport were pretty much committed from the start.
