Good morning peevers.

It's a special day today. Molly, our beloved chocolate labrador, is thirteen today!

She might be getting on in age but she still likes to wander around the fields and to greet anyone she meets that come to the house.

Here's a shot from two days ago, not the clearest but the most recent;

So my dear peevers this brings me to the point. Inevitably the cost of her insurance has gone up again. We all know about house, car and, especially in the US, medical insurance!

However, there may be other things that you feel you have to insure. Let us know, because today's peeve is;

Having to insure special items.

I can't resist putting up an earlier shot of her taken a few years back.

She's a fine looking dog and I've always loved big dogs! Had some great ones and they are family. The cost of pet care here has sky-rocketed in the last few years . That along with outrageous pet food costs I'm afraid our pets are at great risk in the future.

Well one thing for sure if you have money someone will figure a way for you to spend it!
and when you do not spend the money they figure out a way to make you feel bad that you haven't and give you worry and concern!

Beautiful dog!

Love it lol

Molly is so cute, Jezer! I'm sure she got a new bone to play with on her birthday (or possibly a good steak to eat).

What a sweetie she is, Jezer.

ALL my insurances go up, almost every year. When I moved a year ago, I moved closer to town and my household insurance went up. When I inquired I was told it was because I live in town now and not 5 miles away. When I said that now I'm much closer to the fire department and the fire truck could reach me quickly, she said, "if you're in town, you have a higher chance of a fire". I guess that means if the house next door has a fire, there is a greater chance I'll have fire damage, too.

My car insurance goes up every year, too, even though the car is another year older. At least, the registration goes down a little every year.

What a beautiful girl!

I never was much of an animal person till I met my DH, now we have 13 dogs and around 40 cats. Oh yeah, we spend around $300 per month on critter food!

Most of them were abandoned out here by their owners. So sad that some people are such a¥¥%±¤es.

At least they're insured a home with us and we love them all.
