I have to run some props up to the theatre today for a production that Miss J is helping to run. It all fits into my station wagon quite nicely, but it reminded me of times when loads didn't quite fit into the vehicle concerned.
I saw someone shoe-horning a long shrub into their car yesterday and how it got in I do not know!
So, this brings me to today's peeve, which is to do with those annoying times when you wish that your vehicle was just a couple of inches wider/longer/higher!
The POTD is;
The times when your vehicle is just a tad too small!
(For those without a vehicle I bet you can think of something similar to do with a cupboard!)
Well let's see, I have an SUV that is usually big enough for about everything. Though if it's to big to fit in it then I hire someone to move it for me. It's safer that way.
I had a truck for the last 15 years up until last year. Now I don't have to haul a bunch of stuff...someone else has to do it. Or Nitrams idea...hire someone!!
The joys of driving down the road with the boot open and bungies holding it closed..... Jezer, i know it well. I don't own a car with a big boot or an estate/sportwagon type thing so every visit to a DIY shop is fraught with the risk of bunjees and an open boot.
Many years ago I had a 79 Honda Civic with a manual transmission. I stuffed 3 kids, one adult, 2 BIG toilet paper packages, 2 BIG paper towel packages, several bags of other purchased items and one small dog into that vehicle. I'm still not sure how everyone got out uninjured and alive but it was interesting to say the least. Oh, one more thing, I was pregnant as well.
I miss my pickup feel like a pack mule sometimes bringing home groceries
