Today's Peeve of the Day, Friday 11th January. (free, best, bridge)

Good morning peevers.

I'm hoping for a sunny day today and maybe I'll be able to go to a special place to do some photography- more later if I'm able to.

Meanwhile, especially with snow possibly on the way, I should be having some new tyres fitted to the car today.

They should have been done yesterday but when I turned up, having been there earlier to place the order, the central depot had sent the wrong size. Very frustrating.

Ever had something similar happen to you- the wrong product turn up despite your best efforts?

yup!

had to take my car in 3 times to get the ball joints replaced. They kept sending the wrong ones. What really ticked me off was that they kept sending the same ones. Wouldn't ya think if they were the wrong ones on Tuesday, they'd still be the wrong ones on Friday and Monday?

About the peeve, yes it's frustrating. It's a waste of your time and makes you feel like people are incompetent.

I'm back!

I've been up beyond Salisbury to the settlement that was there prior to that town being built.

It was a lovely sunny morning. I haven't had time to sort out all the photos, but here are one or two;

It's amazing how often the wrong thing is sent. Mrs. Tek went through that last year with a Bridge book, They kept sending the wrong edition!!

This happened with my wedding gown!
The dresses were made to order in a Parisian workshop (I lived in Southern France) and another bride, in another city, ordered the same one as I, in a very different size! The workshop got mixed up and my bridal store got the wrong one - fortunately they noticed the mistake immediately and I was able to get my gown on time!

I’ve bought six and three packs of t-****s, socks, and underwear and none of the like items are the same in size of the others. Everyone is different to some extent bigger or smaller in size than the others of the same package. The same thing when I bought six or eight pairs of Levis,,,, no two pairs were the same in size. Nothing is consistent anymore.
