Greetings, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

ROAST A ROAST!

If you want to roast a roast or a whole chicken or turkey, but you don't have a roasting pan with a rack in it, try this easy trick. Take some sheets of aluminum foil, crumple them up and place them in the bottom of your roasting pan. Spray a little no-stick spray on the foil. Then, set your roast or bird directly on the crumpled foil. As it roasts, the grease will drip down below the meat. The roast or bird will be easy to pick up and remove from the pan when it is done. Easy peasy!

Oh,, substitute the crumpled foil for the missing rack in the pan. Sounds good to me, thanks Pam

Foil is always handy to have around. We've used it in that manner for something one time. I've forgotten what. Thanks Pam!

It works great. I've used this Tip because I don't have a fancy roasting pan with a rack.

Ha ha, "foiled," good one, nitram!

I've got a roasting pan (not a big fancy one, though) and a roasting rack, but I might try that tip because you don't have to scrub the foil afterwards.

Good one Pam- we do do that but generally use a roasting bag.

Oh- and we sometimes remove it from the bag for the last bit of cooking in order to brown the chicken off.

Good tip, Pam. I use my handy dandy crock pot to cook roasts, but I'll give this a try with whole chicken. In fact there's a fat hen right outside that hasn't been laying eggs
