Hi, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

FEEDING MULTIPLE PETS

Do you have more than one pet in your home? Here are a few tips on feeding your furry friends.

If you have both a cat and a dog in your home, you may have had a problem with your dog eating some or all of the cat's food. If that happens often enough, you could end up with a portly pooch and a skinny cat. You can easily remedy this problem by feeding your cat on a counter, out of reach of the dog.

If you have two dogs and they don't share well, separate them at feeding time so that one does not commandeer both food bowls.

If you have two cats, there's a good chance one is overweight and one is much thinner or underweight. This often happens when one cat is more territorial and aggressive than the other. Try separating the cats' bowls by several feet, feed the cats at the same time, and stick around to observe them eating. If one cat eats its food quickly and then takes over the other cat's bowl as well, separate them further. It may become necessary to feed the more aggressive kitty in another room.

Though our supply has dwindled, we still have 3 or 4 furry friends and one of "man's best friends". We've done it all over the years. Thanks for the tips Pam!

I always hate to see people give pets table scraps instead of pet food. Good tips Pam on feeding several animals at home.....

Neat dog SATX...

I have 2 pet rocks, Stoner and Pebbles, and they used to be a pain when it came to feeding time, so I separated them by putting a large boulder in between them. Problem solved.

No other pets here.

I don't have any pets, but having Mr. Bay around is a lot like having a dog. Whenever he hears any crunching, clinking, rattling or other sounds coming from the kitchen, he's there in a flash with a hopeful expression on his face. He thinks he's going to get fed.

Great tips. Thanks, Pam!

That is precisely what we do here.
