When you turn 40 something, you can have an interesting conversation with your children, if you have children. The best part is that they know more than you do, or think they do. It is very comforting. I remember when my son got to be six feet tall he would pat me on top of the head and say, "Little Mom." Bet you can't wait for that.

I decided right off the bat to say I was 40 instead of 39, because no one believes that anyone is 39, but they will believe 40. My only problem now is that I am 60 something and I can't be 40 anymore, because I have a 40 something daughter.

Now I went to church one Mother's Day and was the youngest mother at church that Sunday. The biggest problem with that was that I had to tell my real age to be the youngest mother. Remember I only admitted to being 40. I thought it was a little sad, don't you. I was 42 years old and the youngest mother at church that day.

I love being in my 40's !!!T he one thing I find great about being 40, is that I don't care what anybody thinks about me, twenty yrs ago that was a different story.

I don't look my age and b/c of that I get a lot of attention from younger men, it can be fun sometimes.

I plan on being even better at 50 and so on !

You get to start thinking what you want to do for you in life and what you really wanted to do with your life. Some travel, some go to school, some discover the true enjoyment of relationships, a few find it all. Just be sure not to leave your spouse too far behind when you venture out. Oh yea, some trade the spouse in for a new sporty model. High entertainment value, Higher maintenance costs, lower satisfaction in the long run. Imagine having a convertable sportscar in Montana with all those long roads, but when winter comes you have to put it away as its not practical.
Having an inteligent conversation with your child and they actually make sense.

My forties were the absolute most wonderful years of my life..I was at the peak of my health and fitness, young at heart, spirit, and looked pretty good too My kids were almost grown, so my time wasn't as demanding,,I operated a business out of my home and was very successful at it..I finally got to talk to adults and take part in adult activities after having spent the last decade and a half with babies, toddlers, and school age kids and being the biggest part of their lives..I have 4 kids, all from 11 months to 18 months apart..In my early 40's I had my first grandbaby Life was so perfect

At 39, I finally got smart and dumped the hubby. Shortly after turning 40, I met the love of my life and had the smarts to marry him, but only after he took me to DisneyWorld. So, at 40, I regressed to childhood and hugged Mickey - Mouse, that is. 40 wasn't so bad after all. And whoever said it was right - 50 is even better!

I also said "good riddance to bad rubbish" when I turned 40 I'm still happily single and plan to stay that way.
