I have 2 good newses today. Is that ok?
The first is that I am the lucky recipient of a gift card from CD! What a great surprise that was.
Even better, as of this afternoon, I've reconnected with my two bestest friends from high school. I'm just so happy I could spit!
We went our separate ways - I stayed at my hometown, one moved to NYC, one to Boston. The other 2 stayed in touch; I only saw them if they happened to come "home" to visit. On 9/11, when I heard what was happening in NY, I managed somehow to reach the friend who lived there that day to discover she was safe and sound. That fall, the 3 of us got together for a girls' weekend in Saratoga SPrings, NY and had a wonderful time.
Unfortunately, life happened and the 3 of us didn't connect much other than an occasional card here and there. Well, it looks like a 2nd girls' weekend is in the works. Can't wait!
My good news is the tile setter finished the ceramic in the basement today. I was going to do it myself, but these old knees just won't take it anymore. The molding needs to go back up, the backsplash above the new counters needs installed, and the bathroom needs done and then the damage from the mid-March rains will be fixed.

I have a double whammy also I found 3 more quarts of last summer's green beans when I was doing an inventory in my cabinets. Then yesterday I ran into a girl I went to school with & we caught up for a bit. We hadn't seen each other since we graduated but we didn't run around together in school either. Still nice seeing what we both have done in our lives.
Good news today is that while I am visiting Mom and Dad, we are going to pack up today and go to the Lake house! Whoo Hoo! I am soooooo going to be fishing! Also, for their anniversary tomorrow, I am taking them out to eat at a really good restaurant there! Life is good!
I have been trying to lose weight,been doing a kind of therapy for weight loss,will disclose later,kinda complicated to write.
I lost 7 pounds already! That's two weeks! yipppee!

As for me, we changed cell phone suppliers, got a better deal for less $$, got 2 new phones for free, a new car charger and a leather holster, also free! And then, DH took me to an AYCE Chinese buffet for linner/dunch! What more can a girl want?
The store called and some items that I had ordered are now in and I can pick them up later this afternoon. I’ve been looking for them for a while and this will be great to finally have them at home.
