Unsubstantiated revelations passed off as fact... Know it alls trying to make a hypothesis into a sound doctrine. And people who don't question it, but just accept it face value. Now all that being said I respect peoples rights to do that...

I bought new potting soil for the house plants the other day and this weekend I repotted several plants. Now I'm worried that they may not make it. They're looking a little down and out this morning. I'm worried for them

Sometimes, they just go into shock, Aks. Good luck.

How come I called to make an appt. w/my dr. and can't get into see her until June 23 but I can get in to see her PA this afternoon??? At least I can go over my issue (leg pain) w/the PA and if she has a question, she can call in the Dr.

My vent for the day....cuz I don't have the energy for anything else?..LOL Okay...wait, this is a two-fer....

#1 Being woke up at 3:15 a.m., by a CO detector, because the batteries need to be replaced....and being unable to go back to sleep.

#2 Coming to the S&V thread, reading something that I want to comment on, and seeing that one of my fave posters has already said precisely what I wanted to post!! Dang it STT!! Twice...ya got me twice! LOL

I'll try and slow down a bit!

My vent for the day which is truly stressful is that our stinking power has been going out consistently as they try and fix these antediluvian generators. Not that this hasn't been the norm during the 27 years I've lived here now but ... Last week one day without power for 10 straight hours. Last Saturday night a half hour outage right in the middle of dinner at my restaurant. Today out from 7-9AM, back on and then off again for half an hour just an hour later accompanied by a nasty "brown-out" shudder of flickering lights which is ruinous to equipment.

Gotta love it when people say, "How lucky you are to live in the Caribbean!" Right. Aaaargh. Then they wonder why I have these nervous tics and twitch a lot while, on the front door is a little sticky which says, "You Say I'm a Biotch Like It's a Bad Thing!". No Asperger's or Tourette's here, just plain bloody frustration at times. Often wondered why "biotch" is a verboten internet word. It's a female dog for goodness' sake. OK, that makes two vents which has to be my quota for the week.

Too big to fail...big oil (we get it, they are big and can kill us all)....and basically any CNN "money" advisor who grins and smiles while talking about 30 billion dollar bailouts. (Ali Velshi, CNN)...just to name a few. That being said I think I will visit this fun forum more and stay away from P and OC..

This afternoon I was driving in an area of the metro city that I normally don’t have reasons to be at more than once a month, I encounter road work. Construction delays that make it impossible for the three lanes of traffic to move at a crawl all pushed into ONE lane. They’re resurfacing the street, all six lanes of it both ways. I’m happy that they’re doing the improvement and helping to stimulate the economy but why on the one day this month that I’m driving in the area do they do that?

If they don’t put people back to work doing repair and construction projects it’s only going to get worse. Just let me know where and when so I can avoid the delays in traffic.

Roadwork in N.E .Tenn. To look like there is more infrastructure....we really really didnt need CVS, Walgreen's and Rite-Aid all within a six minute drive. Then again thats the big med/pharm industry here. Without it the city would shrivel up !
