I see you're in FL. Well, well! I thought this was just out here in the West, the sticker shock I've been experiencing the last few weeks buying onions.

What's going on! Peeling onions can bring tears to my eyes, but the last few weeks, the prices are doing it as well.

Yes, I caved in and bought one of those small sacks of small onions for $2.98vs. $1.29 LB. individually. Hope this will come to pass soon.

What irks me more is accidentally purchasing an expired item, especially a boxed item that expired over one month ago.

In that case: fleas. Have to put flee repellent on pets every spring and summer.

No bug season here in the desert. No mosquito's, woodticks, gnats, and even the few flies you see are small, and even if they fly into your house, they leave you alone. I've got two flying around in this room right now, but they never land on my body. The flies are so well-behaved and well-mannered you don't even want to kill them!

That's desert life for you. Many minuses, but also many pluses, the abscence of annoying insects.

I lived on an island off Fort Myers one summer. Iyiyiyiyi!

People talking on cell phones who raise their voices 60 decibels as though the person on the other end is deaf.

Why do so many people do that?

I went to bed at 3 a.m. this morning and woke up to the sound of a jackhammer outside my house at 6:05 a.m. (Sat. morning). Not sure who it was, but they got the message real quick. Needless to say, I never got back to sleep the way I wanted too.

Maybe people who yell into phones are going deaf.
