Good Sunday Everyone! Karla has asked me to be today's QotD "Guest Host." I am very excited and promise not to disappoint!

Today here on the Suncoast, it is suppose to be sunny and "cool" with a high of 52. I put cool in quotations, because I think that's darn cold for Florida. However, for some of you all in the northern part of the country, 52 is probably short shorts and short sleeves type of weather.

I know you all are saying... "Get on with the question!" (), so that's what I will do!

Today’s Questions:

What are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see changed in 2010?

On the flip side, what are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see continue in 2010?

Bonus Question:

Refresh us... what was your 2010 New Year's Resolution?

When will you start working toward your 2010 New Year’s Resolution? Or have you already?

Extra Credit Question:

Do you use an Apple Computer or a computer with Microsoft Windows?

Just for Fun:

Have you ever been to Alaska before?

If yes, how did you like it?

“Because I’m Suncoast Guy” Question:
Last Tuesday in my “Did you know…?” thread, we found out that 52% of Americans drink coffee.

Do you drink coffee?

If yes, is it Regular, Decaf, or other?

Today in History:

1872 1st patent list issued by US Patent Office
1888 Marvin C. Stone patents the drinking straw
1890 1st U.S. college-level dairy school opens at University of Wisconsin
1920 NY Yankees purchase Babe Ruth from Red Sox for $125,000.
1956 A fire damages the top part of the Eiffel Tower.
1959 Alaska is admitted as the 49th U.S. State.
1967 The "Tonight Show" is shortened from 105 minutes to 90 minutes.
1977 Apple Computer is incorporated.
1987 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducts 1st female artist: Aretha Franklin.
1997 Bryant Gumbel co-hosted his final "Today" show on NBC-TV.

Word of the Day:
gloze • \GLOHZ\ • verb
1 : to mask the true nature of : give a deceptively attractive appearance to -- often used with "over.
2 : to deal with (a subject or problem) too lightly or not at all -- often used with "over"

Today’s Questions:

What are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see changed in 2010?
I did some travelling this year, which I love, and saw some really beautiful places (Utah, Colorado, southern Africa, etc.). I'd like to travel again this year and see something different & beautiful again. Haven't decided where yet.

On the flip side, what are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see continue in 2010?
Continue to work at my job which I enjoy - but there's big changes happening at the company I'm at, so I could be out of a contract sooner than I'd prefer. And there goes the trip!

Bonus Question:

Refresh us... what was your 2010 New Year's Resolution?
I don't make them since I've always broken them and then there's all the guilt associated with that. I just try to do and be the best I can all year long.

When will you start working toward your 2010 New Year’s Resolution? Or have you already?

Extra Credit Question:

Do you use an Apple Computer or a computer with Microsoft Windows?
Windows.

Just for Fun:

Have you ever been to Alaska before?
No, but I absolutely want to, and plan to. Hey, maybe that should be my trip this year?

If yes, how did you like it?

“Because I’m Suncoast Guy” Question:
Last Tuesday in my “Did you know…?” thread, we found out that 52% of Americans drink coffee.

Do you drink coffee?
I'm not American but I do drink coffee. Even if I was American, I'd drink coffee. And lots of it too

If yes, is it Regular, Decaf, or other?
Regular. Decaf is 'castrated coffee'.

Today’s Questions:

What are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see changed in 2010?

2009 was a good year for me. I believe in karma, good bad or otherwise, so I would rather not disturbe the karma gods by changing things.

On the flip side, what are some things that happened in 2009 that you would like to see continue in 2010?
I will be happy if I stay as busy at work as I did last year.

Bonus Question:

Just bought a new computer a couple days ago. Do not see an apple on it anywhere.

I have around 38 Alaskan winters under my belt. I guess I must be ok with it.

Never have.
