The few times I've been up to DS's high school - I swear - some of those guys look like they should have already graduated college! Bit of a shocker when they are freshmen amongst some of those guys.....

I'm only 5'2". I married my husband so I had someone who could reach things

At this point, I don't think my son cares much. But seriously - someone at least every few weeks will ask him, "so how tall are you now?". Which I'm sure gets annoying for him.

I can't believe what people get superior about. I'm not looking forward to all that. Maybe I'll homeschool.

I honestly don't think the kids care one iota, it's just some of the moms who think it gives them some sort of bragging rights. And I agree with MM, lots of sports potential.

I've even has someone ask (okay she's a good friend but still....) if he's shaving yet.

Oh cool, things have changed a bit (duh) since I was at school then. I'm glad I have you guys to bounce things off - I had a bit of a twinge of worry when I saw just how much taller she was than the other kids.

Her grandparents are ardent Lady Vols basketball groupies, and have already signed her up for the 2025 team.

How rude. I was at lunch with my sister and her friends a while back and one of them asked her if her 20 year-old was still a virgin!

Haha! As long as they are going to pay the fees, it's all good!

Dew - you are welcome to come over any time. When you leave the airport, head north, and ask anyone where the crazy Zimbabwean chick lives - that's me!

Whew! Survived clothes shopping with DS. I do feel for him because I know it must be embarrassing being almost 18 years old, but being tall and unbelievably skinny and having to shop in the boys department. When he grows out of the biggest jean there in the "skinny" size, we are in trouble.....
