It can be pretty windy here. Not always but when it is windy it's really windy. I would have a difficult time living in Wyoming or Nebraska - I think they (well, parts of the state anyway) get windier yet. Some people don't mind it. I hate it so I probably whine about it more - LOL!
Oh - and I totally agree about Inspector Morse!
DS has texted me a few times from FL - which of course I think is totally sweet of him. He sent me a picture of Cinderella's Castle, all lit at night...'cause he knows I'm a sucker for that...
I had an interview today for a temporary position with one of the counties out here, and I'm going to get hired. Woohoo. As long as you do your job well, you get made permanent eventually. I'm so excited.
Fire already? We've been having a storm here, and it was pouring last night and earlier today. The meteorologists all said it was going to be dry this year. Yeah right.
I think there was already a mudslide. We get them every time it rains.
Once I get made permanent there are really good benefits. My mom and oldest sister work for the county, and my step-dad just got hired there last week, too.
When my MIL stays with us, I have lots of "planning meetings" that I need to attend. She never knows or asks what they are for. I hereby grant you use of my "planning meetings".
Thanks for the congrats guys. It's hard to even get an interview with the county because they get so many applications. This is when it pays for your mom to be friends with the recruiter.
