Now we get plenty of threads about peodphile men but here is a weird one.
If you are really dedicated then you can read the whole thing below but basically
a) Moderator cut: No need to bash a whole country. There are plenty of instances of child abuse around the world, unfortunately
b) Mother is desparate to get on the Dr Phil show
c) Dr Phil show encourages her to video tape abusing her kid.
d) mom gets daughter to video
e) mom pours hot sauce into boys mouth.
f) mom send video
g) Dr Phil loves it and puts mom on the show.
f) Viewer outrage.
g) International scadal. (Turns our kid was adoped from russia. )
h) mom in court. May go to jail.
Recently we had a couple of threads about corporal punishment and of course everyone saying how terrible it is.
So now we are going to throw this pathetic woman in jail.
To me a waste of time and your tax dollars.
If ever there was a case for corporal punishment then this is it.
We should put both her and Dr phil on show and flog them.
Stranger than fiction. Oh yes I sudenly realise, this is the media. It probably is fiction.
A US mother who poured hot sauce into the mouth of her seven-year-old son to punish the adopted Russian boy may face year-long jail sentence after being convicted of child abuse.
Jessica Beagley and her husband showed no emotion when a six-person jury announced its decision and the couple walked quickly from a district court in Anchorage, Alaska, without responding to questions from reporters, CBS News reports.
The 36-year-old mother faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail, a $10,000 fine and up to 10 years of probation when she is sentenced on Monday for the misdemeanour of child abuse.

Reason: Please do not quote an entire article. Use just a few sentences, thanks.
Wow. There is so MUCH dysfunction in that entire scenario, who even knows where to start...which is why I can't stand watching those types of shows...really, how much "therapy" is someone going to get in 25 minutes? With commercial breaks...the whole thing is beyond belief.
Dr Phil cruel intentions for publicity sucks, he sick too if he wants the mom to record the abuse. He didnt do it to betray her for police, did it for publicity ratings. so rude. Mom needs to learn productive punishments than hot sauce down the boy's mouth. Cruel punishments have cruel consequences. Productive or safe but effective punishment leads to better consequences. She could have taken his favorite game away, or something related than harmful hot sauce down the mouth.
A) I don't think Dr Phil "loved it". His audience including his wife were brought to tears.
B) I don't think what this mom did was jail-worthy. She should be mandated to take some parenting classes and have her kid(s) evaluated for developmental issues that could be causing their behavior and wouldn't be helped by normal discipline anyway.
C) if she wanted to get on Dr Phil for parenting help, it would have made more sense to videotape her son behaving badly, than to video tape her reaction to it.
Timely. My neighbor, who is a strong proponent of both spanking and hot sauce (for lying or talking back) came by this afternoon to pick something up. I told her what the outcome of this trial was, and she told me she had the right to discipline as she saw fit. I KNOW she is a loving mother, who just wants well behaved children, so I have very mixed feelings about this verdict.
I, like RKB, see no point in imprisoning this parent. And, I can't stand Dr. Phil, who schedules for his bottom line, not to be altruistic.
I can only say I would not want this person to be MY mother. Hot sauce and cold showers? Is she a sadist? Or just stupid?
She looks hard and unloving and her actions appear the same.
She will get no sympathy from me.
I agree. I can not bear to see my child cry for even a minute, how could she do something like that. There are other ways of disciplining a child which do not involve a physical and emotional pain. Even spanking is an abuse if you are doing it take your anger out of the child rather than to discipline the child. There are too many people having kids who should not be. I am all for mandatory parenting classes for every expectant couple. Bunch of ignorant, uneducated people are raising bunch of ignorant, emotionally crippled children.
I understand what you're saying but I'm glad Dr. Phil brought her onto his show.
Otherwise, the authorities would have never know what she was doing to her child.
But, seriously, Dr. Phil should have just reported her to the authorities without even having her on his show.
How can he keep his license for not reporting it when he's mandated by law to report abuse?
