I loved mine. Straight out of Nancy Sinatra and "These Boots Are Made For Walking". White leather. Christmas present.
Next up: Hot pants and see-through blouses. (Another reason I don't react when someone tries to shock me or impress me with a piercing or a tattoo. Anywhere. Some of us can remember seeing women's boobs through their clothing.)
That's just awesome! I was so born at the wrong time!
Haha re: shock value!! A piercing probably not so shocking after a see-through blouse in chilly weather!!
No idea how Twiggy looks today....I am one of the 3 people who has never seen HSN or the like....speaking of which - I saw a thread on Marie Osmond having bad plasic surgery? Is that true? Why would she have surgery? She's always seemed an attractive woman (and recently lost weight I think?)....
MM - Thank you! That was great. (Her skirt seemed kind of long though. They got a LOT shorter.) I had dresses like that. Did you notice the girl dancers in the background? That's how we danced. I was (blushing modestly) a terrific go-go dancer. My specialty was The Frug.
No wonder I only weighed about 90 pounds. It was quite a workout, lol.
ETA: got it! That looks a) like a lot of fun and b) like it takes a good deal of athleticism! Wish I could have seen you in action, Dew...wait, I didn't mean for that to sound so creepy!
Yes Dew - I actually had to go through several videos to get the white boot version...there were some with black boots...I too thought the skirts were kinda long...
Oh Dew, you do awaken memories! When I was in 8th grade we sang Petula Clark's "Downtown" in the spring concert. We were supposed to dress "mod", but my school uniform left me woefully lacking in that department. My mother borrowed a pair of white go-go boots and a mini from the daughter of her friend. I hate to see them returned.
Wish I could have seen you in action, Dew...wait, I didn't mean for that to sound so creepy!
LOL. Yeah. I think my mother was half afraid I'd end up in a go-go cage in a club called The Whiskey on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. (Now you'll probably have to google "go-go cage". )
