DH leaves most everything on...lights, TV etc....I'm a "turn it off when you're done" kind of person.....

Ugh. I just walked in to find one of my pet peeves. DH will turn off the DVD player/Wii/etc and leave the room assuming that the TV must be off is the screen is black, so a bit later I walk past our office and hear a high pitch squealing (did I mention I can hear the electronics noises) that he can't hear and know that he left the TV on again. I have been hearing it for the past hour and ignored the really annoying sound thinking he is using that TV only to find out that he hasn't been using it and I have been hearing that annoying noise for nothing. Grr.

Num - one thing that we ended up doing was purchasing one of those Logitech Harmony remote controls (I think our's migh be the bottom of the line we got at Costco last year for Christmas). Once you've programed them, the will turn everything off. They are a bit pricey but work nicely if that kind of thing bothers you or if you have issues trying to coordinate multiple remotes....

Thanks for the suggestion MM. I don't think it will work though because he likes to turn off everything by hand and then walk away. Everything except the tv of course. lol

These guys look like they are having a blast. Amazing how Jake Shimabukuro can get such incredible sound from a 4-stringed instrument.

Thanks Zimbo! (If Santa asks me what I want for Christmas I'm going to say, "A uke!")

You have a much better plan since Jake probably comes equipped with the uke. Two for one.
