It was wrong. Full stop. Right now this family is in crisis. The mother is in over her head and he child needs help. Missing 18+ days, punishments at school. Something is going on. The mom doesn't seem evil, she seems like she needs a hand.

I mean, think about it from the kid's perspective. He obviously is lacking in the "responsible parent" department. He likely has a horrible home life, with his mother in and out of prison. School should be his safe zone, where he can find adults who care about him and want what's best for him, and try to better his life from what it is at home, right? Instead, school says "Either we will beat you, or we will send you back home to your horrible home life. Have a nice day." I mean if this isn't an example of "how you create a thug that drops out of school 101" then I don't know what is.

Chloee Faith McCallie they told me if he could not get a paddling he would have to be suspended and if he got suspended for even one day I WILL go to jail for truancy... Jasper county made me do this... I could not go to jail or my kids would have nothing ... I can't take care of my kids in jail... And I was not texting I was recording this... I couldn't do anything to stop them.

A good butt whooping only works if done by responsible caring parents as part of a consistent and well communicated plan of discipline who then follow up with verbal teaching and unconditional love.
