Sorry. I thought I originally included the info. It's been a crazy week.
I think it's nice that you are considering your nearby relatives. My parents had a pack-n-play in a guestroom that my kids used about once/week. The other grand parents had a pack-n-play but never cleared out their adult kids' rooms enough to fit it in one of them.
Think about it this way. If you had someone else's infants staying with you when they visited, would you really want them to be in the room adjacent to yours where you could hear every cry and scream? Probably not. It works well for your own children, but not for someone else's children. It's much better to use that room for something else like a quiet, adult-only area like an office, study, medication room, etc and then you can use one of the other rooms for babies if they come to stay.
No way. I'd make myself a nice office and be able to store all of my documents, music, movies, etc. I'm not sure I'd want a lot of guests with babies staying overnight anyway. I like my sleep as does everyone else in my house. I'd prefer visitors to stay in local hotels anyway even more so if they have a baby.
