Don't have kids; I need those who do to tell me if this is normal (breastfeed, baby)

To an unrelated observer, this may seem strange and "icky".
As a parent of a teenager, though... you still remember that "this leg used to be so tiny". You stroke your 15, 16, 17 year old son partly as an expression of your own memory, your own "where did the time go", your own "oh I don't touch my son nearly as much anymore...". Doing it in front of other people, that is another question.
Don't mind these people. It's odd for a fifteen year old to want to hang with adult couples and it's weird for he and mom to be all over each other - especially in front of people.
My friend's son and the mother were all touchy feely when the kid was a young teen - laying in bed together and he giving her rubs. I questioned it at the time, as did he, and it didn't stop until the boy was a little older. He's 22 now and very socially awkward ... no job, doesn't go to school, no friends, no girlfriend. Mom takes care of him financially.
Wow, you're very judgmental.
Calling kids that spend time with adults not normal? I mean, what if it is a mentor? Do you think the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America is abnormal?
What made you the authority on what is normal and what isn't?

What he described above about the mom and son cuddling and leading to awkward behavior in one's 20's is not the same as the big brother/sister program.
No one is an authority on what is normal. I think that is why the question is being asked.
I was out to eat the other night with a big group of parents and kids and the whole night one little girl who is 6 was hanging all over her mom and her mom was getting annoyed. She kept giving her things to play with but she kept coming back to mom. None of the other kids were doing this, they were playing together. Kid kept trying to sit on mom's lap at a crowded table with drinks and food. The mom has told me that the daughter is constantly following her everywhere even at home and I was thinking, hmm 6 is starting to get a little old for that. Im not saying it's abnormal and i'm sure it will stop...but this kid the OP is talking about is 15 and is still coming to basically sit on mom's lap/cuddle when there are other people around.
I recall having a cousin who would basically sit on our aunt's lap (not his mom) and she would rub his head when he was 15ish or so. He did have some issues at birth (seizure) which led to him having some issues for a long time...i think people felt sympathetic for him because his mom was hard on him so they babied him. Perhaps the 15 yr old is going through tough times or has in the past and mom is babying him
I have heard of mom's breastfeeding kids until 6 or 7 mainly because the kid refuses to stop. Thoughts on that?
Yes, I am judgmental and I know weird when I see it. Happy now?
You don't know anything but how to label people based on your closed minded ****tardedness.
