It's unlikely that I would have married a woman who would rather run in the rat-race, than raise her children. I'm not an advocate of arranged marriages, and I would have chosen a mate who had a lifestyle philosophy that was not in conflict with my own.

That's a wierd survey. It mentions nothing about money. If I could receive the same amount of meny that I do know and stay home, of course I would! Kind of a no brainer....

If I could I would work. I am home on disability with my 2 daughters. 16 and 12 and I would MUCH rather work.. that is why I have found a place to volunteer where I can be involved with my daughters as much as possible. Girl Scouts is a wonderful place to get to know people in the community and other mom's and girls. We Love GS!!!

I have made it so far to him being 3.5, and being able to stay at home most of the time... I do Real Estate, so I am able to wear a lot of hats. I really love working, I love that I am still part of the working world, that I know what is going on, I stay updated with technology, and that I can talk about something other than life around my child. When I do find myself around a group of women that don't work, the conversation is always about kids, schools, etc. If I bring up something about politics, or anything that has anything to do with what is going on in the world other than kids, I am met with blank stares... it's really weird, and I would not want to be a person who could not take care of myself, to have a sharp skill set, to use if and when I needed to...

I always brought my kids to court with me. My son was about 3 and didn't want to go to daycare so he hung out with attorneys and criminals. We made it fun - he would wait until I was in front of the judge and yell "GUILTY" and had other adventures. He would play outside my office and when a car pulled up -take a look at the occupants and yell "Daddy .... Criminals are here to see you"

Making it work, being comfortable and not being able to work because of being financially secure are 3 different circumstances. If I had a ton of money -so much that money was no object I would think of staying home. Even then I would have to consider it. Making it work and being comfortable requires that I work. I probably make too much to stay home honestly.

Sorry, but I just can't resist interpreting this exactly as you puncutated it. In your job, you are ripping so many people off and raking in so much dishonestly, that you can't afford to stay home honestly.
