They were silenced by the marketplace, by our capitalist system. A minority representing, maybe 4-8 or so percentage of the population doesn't have that power. It's been said before that a minority , of 4 % of gay people is so powerful to exert such influence over the greatest power in the world, the USA, isn't sensible. I think this argument was made before, NAZI Germany comes to mind when it was said that the Jewish people in that country, again a small minority, exerted such a strong influence that they were deemed dangerous!

Actually, their employer took actions against them because the employer must have determined their actions were damaging their "brand." It would be no different than if they'ed used the N" word, demeaned women, called developmentally-challenged people "retard" or other actions most people today would deem inappropriate. As I posted above, there are consequences to one's words and actions. You may or may not like it, but that's the reality.

So now opposing gay marriage = calling someone a ni**er? Calling a gay person a f@g is a better comparison, and that wasn't the case here. Ironic how personally opposing gay marriage somehow damages a brand, but openly bashing Christians does not.

Let's just say we interpret what's going on in the world around us differently and leave it at that.

Bashing Christians ??? The 90% of the US population that consider themselves Christian are being bashed. They can't practice their religion, worship at their churches, elect every single person who was/ is president of this country ? This huge, powerful, majority is being bashed? By other Christians?

Or maybe conservative Christians are being bashed? Or maybe Christians who don't think exactly as I do are being bashed?

Conservative Christians seem to have a persecution complex because they can no longer freely push gays around anymore. Poor little babies. Dry your eyes and grow a pair.

And of course, when you have nothing to say, start throwing insults. Thanks for proving the intolerance of the liberal left.

Really, no point in arguing if you're going to hide behind a sock puppet account.

Wow. You know, dude, I'm a left-wing liberal myself (gay, as a matter of fact), and that's just totally uncalled for. What's wrong with driving a truck? It's an honest way to make a living.

Brush your teeth this morning? A trucker delivered your Colgate toothpaste to Walgreen's.
Wipe your butt at all lately? A trucker delivered your Quilted Northern to Target.
Craving a mocha frappucino? A trucker dropped off those java beans at Starbuck's for you.
Want to buy a new tire at Walmart? A trucker delivered those tires.

From a safety standpoint while I wish this country would utilize freight trains more for long-haul trips instead of an ever-increasing amount of big-rigs, truckers do NOT have a cushy job, and they deserve our utmost respect.

Signed, a "dumb" delivery driver (with a much smaller Honda Fit) with a sky-high IQ.
