I am a firm believer in paying off the mortgage. I had an adjustable rate, I paid extra every month on principle, then when the rate changes it is on a lower principle, thus now you can pay even more. before you know it, it is done. I own a co-op and have not had a mortgage in years. My savings account has also thanked me.......so this method worked for me.
i would never rent, it is throwing your money out the window.
Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are important!
Very important ! When I used to go on the on-line dating sites, if the person could not spell or use proper punctutation and capitalization, it was a turn off..
Not judging here. I like alot of ppl on the forums !
I've always felt that forums were informal, and as such allowed informal speech and writing. So I pretty much don't care how people write... as long as it's legible.
I usually spell check my stuff, because my typing is SO bad.... but I might do it three quarters of the way in and then not do it at the end....

i type so fast and so much with one finger and i find being lefty really is a big handicap on a conventional keyboard.
as you said forums are so informal that i rarely waste time going back and correcting things. its more important that folks spend more time absorbing whats in all these threads and learning something rather then looking to correct grammer and spelling.

Not to pretend that I'm some sort of financial genius, but the thing I like about the Suze Orman show is that the people who call in always make me feel better about myself.

i wonder how many divorces she caused by picking on the men.
