I didn’t tell anyone to keep 400mm in their checking account but that doesn’t change the fact that you don’t understand how the limits are structured. It’s would probably be helpful if you visited the fdic website and they have a calculator to walk you through scenarios. Fwiw the limit isnt 250k per ssn

Yeah that's true, nobody I know buys lottery tickets so there's that. Unless they secretly buy them since it's looked down upon depending on what kind of friends you got.

I buy them a couple of times a year. I know the chances of me winning are next to impossible but what the heck. It's fun to dream.

My cut off went from $250 million to $500 million. Now I am moving it to $1 billion. That's how I put a limit on it.
