It all depends on where you go and which demographics you encounter.
At random? If so, that's crazy and scary.

I comment with experience as well, but haven't encountered anything like this in Philly. When I lived in Baltimore, a 25 year old young professional, my exact demographic, was murdered in a robbery 50 feet from my front door. Someone got stomped directly outside of my house a few months later and was left critical. And this was in a "safe" area. Philly is leagues better than this, currently. This type of thing isn't routine in the good areas here.

And regarding your other comment, there's no entire "left" that doesn't want these shootings known about/addressed. I vote democrat for numerous reasons, but there are plenty of people who want a nuanced approach to crime prevention. It's 1000% the fault of people doing the shooting that it's happening, and they need to fully punished. Simultaneously, the systemic causes DO need to be addressed as well as the gun problem. The issue with left vs. right is the narrow views, neither of which cover the whole picture of what needs to be done. And to clarify - Kenney and Krasner are morons.

He really said this all in one comment. That is a gigantic exaggeration, so I shared my experience as someone spending every day and night living in the city. Based on that comment, "Redddog" just reads the headlines and is afraid to go anywhere near Philly.

Ignoring the problems at hand wouldn't be smart, but neither is blatantly overstating them.
Haha. Nice work, Detective.

Something must be done, and leadership focusing solely on reform is not going to do it.
'Warzone' is a figure of speech.

At least the real problem, white supremacists (gotta be stupid to really believe this), were rejected in Center City:

I'm sure these hookers had their reasons ...
Can't people just go to bed?

I wonder what the deal with those women was? Not to judge a book by its cover, but they look like ordinary drunk girls, but have been into something bad, or knew the victim (even though he says they didn't).

Because this is the internet and we are allowed to widely speculate without repercussions, I agree, they look like prostitutes. And yes, if didn't want anyone to know I solicited them, I'd lie about not knowing them too.

Nothing makes you sleep like stabbing someone in the throat. I can't get a good night's sleep without it, personally.

I'm sometimes out at all hours of the night ... Why can't people just stop causing trouble?
