I was looking on Google Maps and noticed that 30th St. in West Philly seems to be far to the east of where it "should" be, compared to where 30th St. is in North and South Philly. If you connect the line north-south, it seems like it should fall somewhere between where 33rd and 34th are now. Additionally, the first numbered street east of the Schuykill is 24th. Does anyone have any insight as to why the roads were numbered this way? Couldn't find anything online.

There are 25th, 26th, etc.. It's just North of Fairmount.
