Hi,
I am moving to Philadelphia and will be attending medical school at Temple. I currently drive a MB and was wondering if it is safe to take that to north Philadelphia. I am happy to exchange it for another vehicle if there are lots of vehicle thefts and related problems.
Thanks!

parking in the garage should be fine while you are in class.

I hope you aren't looking to live around the medical campus. It is not a nice area. There are places to park your car though for class, but you will most likely have to buy a parking pass.

By all means ... PARK IT IN A GARAGE.

If we were talking about Rittenhouse Square, Society Hill, Chestnut Hill, or University City I would say "fine, park it on the street."

North Philly is ... well ... still North Philly.

Well it would be one thing if it was main campus but the hospital campus is a bit different.

If you are looking for a place to live, the Medical Campus is along the Broad St. line giving easier access from other parts of the city.
