So, here's the deal: my wife is meeting up with some friends in Philly for brunch (we live about 90 min away in North Jersey). I'll be hanging out with my almost 2-year-old son while they are getting together as we are staying in the Philly area until Sunday.

Most of the time we'll be waiting is my son's nap time. My plan was to walk around the city while he napped in a stroller, but it's looking like the weather is going to be pretty crappy (40 degrees, rain/snow).

Any ideas on where to go? Thought about walking around the art museum or something like that. Also open to walking outside if there's a route where I could duck inside to a number of places.

Open to just about anything, even if it's outside the city.

I think you're on the right track with the Art Museum - big and quiet and very nap friendly! The Free Library of Philadelphia is within walking distance of the Art Museum. You could go in there and read books for awhile. It's a huge beautiful library. Here's more to do on the Parkway: Home | Parkway Museums District Philadelphia

Another idea would the please touch museum. It gets busy later in the day, but if you got there in the early side, you could have a lot of fun pre-nap.

Yep, the weather is predicted to be pretty iffy tomorrow(maybe some snow!). But you could walk east on Faimount Ave from the Art Museum. There are kid-friendly places you can duck into. OCH Coffee House at 21st and Fairmount and Tela's Market at 19th and Fairmount.
