Only some of them.

I have no idea why people from Connecticut would travel here to just go to the park. Maybe it was part of a long weekend, multi-day excursion.

I will never be able to understand why people go to beautiful natural areas and leave trash. I can only guess that they're not very bright. If everyone leaves trash, it won't be beautiful the next time that they visit.

Agreed. Wissahickon is a true gem, but it seems odd that people would travel all that distance to Philadelphia just for the park. I only assume this because as wild and beautiful as Wissahickon is, there are wilder and more beautiful parks within a similar or closer distance to some of these supposed park trashers. I would assume it was a pit stop along the way to some other destination.

I also agree with those saying we need more fine enforcement for leaving trash in Philly. I would say especially in parks, but our street trash is in dire need as well. I wish we had a trash authority as vigorous as our parking authority.

They certainly came prepared...brought grills, and generators to blow up their water toys!

Two reasons: (1) they don't care and (2) they're lazy.

xenophobia how? If the facts speak for themselves and its people from not around here why is that a problem?

People outside the region do not always appreciate Philadelphia and leave their trash behind.

For a city that is chocked with trash, I don't think visitors are entirely to blame.
